Great professional work. Thanks
this is an original painting of a pump house that sits in the cranberry bog on Cape Cod. I took the painting and made a lithograph from it. It is on Japanese Rice paper and I let the paper wrinkle for effect. The image has a haunting, lonely isolated windswept feel to it that I felt the distress of the paper could add to.
After working for 30 years on my art I have discovered that for me the creative process is about surrender not control. I have stopped trying to control the relationship of color, form, composition or anything else I have been taught. I am a printmaker this means that process is more important to me than product. It is the creating not the creation that drives my art . Also for the past 10 years I have been developing my photographic skill while I travel. Thanks for saying so, There is a small printmakers group of very good artists on this site but there are not many of us. The labor, equipment, supplies, and skill involved in printmaking isn't for the faint at heart. Deb

Thanks Dave, I was hesitant to post this one as the image is strange and the actual beauty of the paper does not read well. Thanks for giving me some feedback on this, Deb
