For years I've planned on illustrating the Bible. It is going to be quite the challange.
This is one of the first images I see from Genesis when God creates man from the dust of the earth and breaths life into his nostrils and he becomes a living being. ~ Genesis 2:7

God breathed life into Adam, the first man, on the 8th day. The day after he rested from creating everything else. That rest was not because he was tired, but a time of reflection on what He had created. He said, It is good.
Then God took Adam to the garden He planted, the Garden Of Eden.

This is just the first sketch of Adam's creation. I plan to do a few more as what I see in my head is something a little different than this image. I'd like the final painting to look more like he is forming from dirt. An image that is before he rises from the dirt. Before he is given life perhaps.
