I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
Last year I felt lucky to capture lightning behind the Nubble. It took me 3 years and about 12 trips during storms to capture it. During the lightning storm on Friday night I figured maybe it could happen again. The storm was to the north around Portland, Maine. I knew it might pass behind the Nubble. Upon arriving I was in awe as a nearly full moon was rising thru the clouds to the right and distant lightning strikes to the left. I am positive I will never see this phenomenal display again. What are the chances?
Leaving I felt very happy to capture lightning twice at this beautiful spot. Little would I know that it would storm again on Saturday night and I would capture lightning strikes off to the right out beyond Boon Island.
About Scott Thorp
The first photograph I remember taking was on a 4th grade field trip to Augusta Maine. Long ago were the days of putting the 126 or 110 size cartridge of film in a bag, mailing it off to some magical place then waiting 2 weeks to get your prints back. Now- shoot it, dump it or keep it. Between then and now my photography has taken many twisted turns. High school brought the camera club. What an easy way to get out of study hall and classes and roam the halls taking pictures to end up in the yearbook. I was accepted at but did not attend Rhode Island School of Photography, foolishness at an early age. Started capturing weddings and portraits which got progressively larger for about 10 years. I operated a inhome studio. January of 2000 I...
