One summer I traveled to Montana and backpacked and flyfished. I caught my first cuthroat trout which also completed my trout species slam of a brown, rainbow, brook, & cutthroat. The fish was caught on a stimulator dry fly as shown in the painting. The original painting was done upon my return to Florida. The original hangs in my studio and reminds me of the time I had in Montana during that trip.
Jeff always had a passion for art and fishing.
As a kid he fished ponds for bluegills and was always drawing some kind of pictures before school.
He worked in the apparel industry for 13yrs full time at which time fish and art came together and
he began painting some of his favorite gamefish species. Jeff also owned and operated a canoe
outfitter business for a few years that specialized in flycasting clinics and instructional guided
fly fishing trips and was able to spend alot of time on the water.
In addition to his artwork Jeff creates art & graphics as part of a fishing apparel lifestyle company he owns called finatic designs.
The innovation of finatic designs came from the idea of being fanatical about fish....
