A closeup photo of an old weathered tree trunk slowly decaying on the edge of the forest as new life springs up around it. The bleached, gray and white trunk forms a gentle s-curve with lots of wood grain texture and bits of green and yellow lichen growing on it. Fresh evergreen branches can be seen in the background. Digitally manipulated for artistic effect. Copyright 2013, Bill Caldwell/ABeautifulSky Photography.
