Artist's Description
On October 28th 1976, at about 9. pm, a Czech passenger plane of the type Iljuschin 18 was hijacked at Prague airport and forced to fly to Munich. Czech citizen RUDOLF BECVAR(26) had entered the plane, which held 106 passengers and a crew of 5, shortly before the take off and forced the captain with a machine gun to take course at Munich. After the landing at Riem airport, at 10.58 pm, the hijacker surrendered to the West-German police. Until now, the reason for the hijacking is not known. Our picture: the Czech plane Iljuschin 18 after the landing at Munich airport.
