The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I grew up in a log cabin in the foothills of Wyoming's Snowy Range. I draw upon my life-long experiences with wild animals for my bronze sculpture. Raising rescued orphan squirrels, hawks, porcupines, and other wild babies, getting to know the herd of 150 elk who winter nearby, watching sage grouse strut, getting dive-bombed by a prairie falcon who mistook the top of my head for a rabbit, riding rescued Mustangs -- all these and many more adventures lend the movement of life to my tiny, detailed sculptured reliefs. I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers.
