"Daybreak on the Farm"

... An old barn sits
in the early morning sunlight,
blue sky and puffy clouds overhead
just after dawn.
The old tractor sits inside
waiting for it's work
for the day.
An old shed
keeps the woodpile dry
and holds the farm
implements and tools.
The country road
at the top of the hill
is almost just a small lane
above the old wooden barn
with it's red roof.
The trees have been cut
for the pasture farmland
and a pretty meadow sits
on the other side of the trail.
The old barnwood
is almost a century old
but still used for agriculture
and crops.
A touch of misty fog
hangs over this rural scene
as the sun rises,
rays shooting up
into the clouds,
and casts long shadows
onto the moss and dewy grass
in the early Spring...
