Dear Barbara, I visited your gallery and was surprised with your beautifull paintings of flowers and animals. Great technique and sense of color... Congratulations and best regards, Gomes Pereira.

Exceptional textures Barbara, the gaze in his eyes is AWESOME!!! Your talent and skill is Exceptional! . ......Joe

Sarah.. yes, I love those pencils too!! Ever try Faber-Castell? They also blend nicely WITH the Prismacolor.. gives you lots more colors...

Thank you again! To echo the above comments; your work is GREAT!! And to answer your question, I use Prismacolors. I find they blend and layer the best and are the most like paints. (which I also love, but with three young children, don't get to use very often!! :)

My most favorite cat of all, Tigers. Beautiful painting! Thank you again for your comments on my pictures. I've never had the chance to pet one of these beautiful beasts. I came close but I invisioned me losing my hand so I didn't. That must have bee just awesome, I can't imagine. The closest I got to a touching a wild animal is a snapping turtle, I removed a fishing hook from his leg, for some reason he knew that I was helping and not trying to hurt him.

Your art work is lovely. I love your Siberian Tiger. And I really like your graphite paintings. Really like your "growing up" idea. I want to thank you too for all your comments on my work. I really appreciate you taking the time to view it. Will keep checking your work :-D ...

Very strong painting!

Beautiful tiger Barbara. Just stopped back to look again. The coloring and finesse in the details make it spring to life. Thanks again for the compliments. Be productive and be well.

Your work is phenomenal! Not just this cat - ALL your work is! Wow! Simply beautiful...

I love all of your cats... they are wonderful. I see you are an animal lover... I am going to e-mail you a picture (collage) of a local lady that out of the goodness of her heart feeds the anilmals here at Lake Elsinore. And thanks for your comment on "Monica Praising"

Artist's Description

This is the female Siberian Tiger that resides at the Cleveland Zoo. I used my own photos for reference and pieced her together like a true Frankenstein. You know how it is.. this pose is great but that expression is better but the color on that one is outstanding... it was fun. Presently in the private collection of M. Dulaney.

Will be gone for at least 8 weeks 04-09-16: I just want to let every one know that I will probably be absent a lot. I'm having cataract surgery and will be unable to read, draw and communicate until further notice. Wish me luck I was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946 . Began drawing at the ripe old age of four - according to my Mom (no walls were injured in the making of this artist), and continued on through four years of high school art, which only whetted my appetite. I then entered a commercial art school and did a year and a half there (they wanted me to become a fashion illustrator, but - at 19 - I thought I had better ideas). Other than that,...
