Winter storm clouds give an overall dark gray-blue cast to the scene with Destruction Island and its now decommissioned lighthouse some three miles off shore. This is just a little north of Kalaloch on the Washington Coast.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Wil was a "serious" 35 mm black and white photographer in the '60s and early '70s, but as family and other interests took up more of his time his photography fell by the wayside. Digital cameras piqued his interest in returning to photography; however the photographic quality of the early digital cameras left much to be desired. Then, in 2005, with the advent of high resolution digital cameras, excellent computer photo processing programs, and photo quality ink jet printers, he decided the time had come to once again pursue his interest in photography.
