A gathering of asters from my garden, captured in the early morning of September 21, 2012 with the Nikon D300 and the 105mm Nikon / Nikkor macro lens at 1/800, f/3.5. Editing in Camera Raw, Capture NX2 and Photoshop CS4 and CS5, plus the addition of a texture from Leslie Nicole. I have been admiring the lovely pastel floral images created by many friends here on FAA, and decided to give this look another try. I think the beautiful sunny and warm spring day, today, helped push me in this direction, too.

Welcome to Lois Bryan Photography and Digital Art. I'm a photographer / photography-based digital artist living in the mid-Atlantic region of the US. My images are based on the photographs I capture, mostly with Nikon cameras and lenses. Although my primary goal will always be to catch that perfect shot straight out of the camera, I also enjoy exploring the artistic and creative process as I work with Photoshop and other image editing programs. Still experimenting, still loving every minute behind the camera and still believing in the magic.
