Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. Artist's Description
This ferry heads into the setting sun and the hearts of Washington residents. This boat and 3 others were retired a few years ago. They were like getting on floating nautical museums with polished wood and brass, and even historic photos. Ever since I was a kid I've loved the sun sparkling off the water and waves. I've always referred to them as "diamonds." I think the subtle colors make this painting. I particularly like the green I've woven into the water here and there.
About Perry Woodfin
Perry studied and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Washington State University, and has made a living with his art since 1965. His work is included in numerous collections and he holds many awards. Puget Sound raised, he lives on Whidbey Island fifty miles north of Seattle, Washington. Painting what surrounds him, he says, "I feel each piece of my art is like a word (or sentence), and when all is said and done I would hope people would say I had something interesting to say."

I saw that story too. Thanks for your comment. Ya ! I've always loved them. Even remember being introduced to Betty McDonald of "The Egg and I" fame on one when I was maybe 8-9 years old. Somehow knew it was special. But what isn't on the ferries.

This makes me happy to see. I have enjoyed the ferry rides in Puget Sound for nearly 25 years now and it is always a pleasure. Those diesel electrics were sold for scrap. It was on the news on KING TV last night.
