Diffusion. Image 2 of 2. Potassium dichromate (orange) in a petri dish containing agar gel. This was set up one day beforehand, with one crystal of potassium dichromate in the centre of the dish. Over time, the crystal dissolved, spreading out to colour most of the dish. For this set-up at the beginning of the demonstration, see image A350/141.
