It all began Christmas of 1997 when my husband gave me a custom built easel (he built himself) and several presents full of oil paints, brushes and canvases. I immediately began work on my first portrait, and it was a horse of course! Shortly after, we moved to Bucks County Pennsylvania where my portrait work quickly became popular and was then featured in several newspapers including a spread in the Bucks County Courier Times. Since then, I have created hundreds of portraits, first on stepping stones and then on salvaged roofing slate, but now more recently to canvas and board.
