Armand Roux was born into poverty and raised in the slums of southern New Hampshire, as a child he was in and out of trouble with the law and sent to a reform school at a very young age, with little promise of a bright future. This is were he found his love for art in the form of free hand drawing , landscape and modeling magazines. Coming of age, he became a model citizen and worked hard for several years before starting a family at the age of 25, always wanting to be a photographer since the age of 9 but could never afford a camera or lessons.
