love this greeting card
The Bee Balm flower was one of the first flowers that we planted in the attempt to attract hummingbirds to our garden. This is a scarlet monarda didyma, also know as horsemint, or oswego tea but commonly called Bee Balm. I find that it is such an odd flower that it almost seems ethereal. This is the bud as it first starts to open. This is a perennial and as spring comes to an end here in Massachusetts the bud start to show it's colors and this is the way it starts to open up. By summer we start to see them change and grow into large red tubular flowers, They are very tall and add striking color to our garden. I could not resist capturing this early spring bud showing off it's details with a macro close up.
Throughout my life I have always felt the most comfortable when surrounded by nature. With my photography I am trying to capture those feelings that I have, so that I can share them with others. I strive to feature the beauty in all of nature and also the places that I love to visit or explore. The ingredients for my photography may be the simplicity of a single flower from my garden, the vastness of the ocean, antiques from a long ago era or the delightful architecture of past eras. I hope that I can share the feelings that these items inspire within me. I feel that my photography prints will be a wonderful addition to any home, business or office decor. They will make wonderful gifts as something that can be treasured. ...
