Andonis Katanos

I combine photography, archaeology and nature. Born in Istanbul and was awarded B.A degree in Anthropology and History of Art from S.U.N.Y. at New Paltz, New York. Recently I reside in Greece, cooperating with publishing houses and magazines. I have published articles with photos covering from Neolithic, Cycladic, Minoan, Mycenaean, Bronze Age, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine period up to Medieval times. I have established an extensive image library covering such as: archaeological sites,mythological landscapes, pottery, cult figurines, votive relief, megalithic structures, fortifications, cyclopean forts, pyramidals, vaulted tombs, temples, sanctuaries, oracle sites, metallurgical works, theatres,...
