I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

This charming little church sits in a grove of trees, off the beaten path in Houston Township, Adams County, Illinois. Although it no longer serves a congregation, the chapel and it's churchyard are lovingly cared for. In it's day, on a Sunday morning the horses and buggies or wagons would have been lined up near the church, bringing families in their Sunday best attire. Men sat on one side of the church, and women and young children on the other. Can't you just imagine brightly patterned quilts spread on the grass, as families gathered together to share a Sunday picnic after the service? (North Adams County, Illinois)

About Cricket Hackmann

Cricket Hackmann

As a self-taught photographer, Cricket works daily to learn new ways of honing her skills and improving her art. She uses a DSLR camera as her primary tool to capture an image, and then various software programs, as needed, to transform the image into the desired...
