I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

These are eggs from a friend's several breeds of chickens. The blue and green ones are from a breed called Aracaunas and, yes, those are the color eggs they lay. They taste just the same as the others. Whenever they read the Dr. Seuss book, "Green Eggs and Ham," when my son was in in kindergarten, he would tell the teacher that he ate green eggs and she told him that was not possible. When the class came to our house to see our animals one day, she apologized because he took the children in to see the chickens on their nests and, yes indeed, there was a GREEN egg.

I grew up in an outdoor loving family in Colorado. My parents knew from early on that I had artistic talent and that I loved animals. Hence, the realistic painting of a skunk in kindergarten, which displeased my teacher who thought it a awful subject for a child to be interested in. My art talent and love of animals have continued to intertwine throughout my life. In second grade, on the advice of my teacher, my parents entered me in art lessons in the local art center childrens’ program where my favorite subjects invariably were animals. I continued taking lessons both privately and in school through high school. In 1966, I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry and Silversmithing at the University of Kansas. I...
