I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description

After two nights roughing it on the banks of the River Nile, Luxor was a shock to the system. A modern and crowded Egyptian city with all the perks of home was not what I was expecting, honestly. As our group wandering along the corniche on our first afternoon getting acquainted with Luxor, we came upon the ruins of a temple. In a way, it was like so many other Egyptian temples we'd already seen up to that point, but the light hitting it was extra special and I had to stop and capture these impressive ancient columns rising into the sky. Rather than being in the midst of crowded Luxor, it feels as if we've stumbled onto some lost ruins doesn't it?

It was only later that I read up on the site and realized that I was photographing what remains of Ancient Thebes. Within the walls of this temple, they once worshiped the Theban Triad of gods, Amun, Mut, and Chons. It somehow felt appropriate to see part of a golden age of Egypt bathed in gold light, don't you think?

About Mark Tisdale

Mark Tisdale

Life is full of happy surprises. After just over a decade working in the 9 to 5 cube world, I threw caution to the wind to follow my dreams of being a full time visual artist. That was five years ago! Is it easy? No, but something truly worthwhile is rarely simple. My body of work is wide ranging from photographic scenes of far away places, more near and dear locations, and more fanciful artwork. It's all crafted with a heartfelt love for finding the beauty in little captured moments. My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art. Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
