About Jymmy Forest
It is at the beginning of the year1976, in Quebec City, that Jymmy Forest was born. At the age of four, he moved to the St. Roch neighbourhood, alone with his mother. Quickly, he immersed himself in the chaotic spirit of a neighbourhood where coexist and overlap marked structural and social differences. Stamping in action, he is at first a dream child. He finds moments of solitude so that his overflowing imagination can come true. He retains everything, from the candy bags to the pizza boxes, for patching, assembling & varnishing. He spends entire weekends at the local library to listen to stories of Marcel Proust or Jonathan Livingstone on audio tapes. It is during his adolescence that rises his passion for clay.
