Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Elephants form deep family bonds and live in a matriarchal groups of related females called a herd. The herd is led by the oldest and usually the largest female. When a calf is born, it is raised and protected by the herd. Males leave the family between the ages of 12-15 and lead a solitary life or live temporarily with other males.
Elephants are very intelligent and have memories that span for years. It is the memory that guides the matriarch sometimes for miles to watering holes from the past.
They grieve, they have joy, anger and play. Recently they have discovered elephants can communicate over long distances by a sub-sonic rumble that travels over the ground faster than sound through the air. Other elephants receive the messages through the sensitive skin on their feet and trunks. It is believed this how they communicate with future mates and social groups.
Sydne Archambault was born and raised in the Great state of Wyoming. She grew up in a home where art held a presence. Her mother Willie Jordan Misner studied under Birger Sandzen at Bethany College in Lindsberg Kansas. Art was her mother's passion and her passion passed to Sydne as a young girl. Twenty years ago Sydne wrote a children's story and decided to illustrate it. She discovered a software program Meta Creations Painter 5 and this began the journey in digital art. Painter had all the artist brushes, water colors, textures one would need without the clean up. As Painter has grown into Corel Painter 15, so has Sydne in her art and her passion to create. "Honestly if the roof fell in I wouldn't notice it when I am painting....
