I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
Chosen "Artist of the Month" April 2013.
This painting, represents My trip from Okinawa to Korea, in an LST when first volunteering for Korea. We left Okinawa in August 1950, and had a very rough trip across the Pacific to Korea. Korea had the highest casualty rate of any War since the Civil War, one of every 9 who served, was killed.
President Truman called "The Korean War" a "Police Action" But it was not Police Duty. It was combat at its worst.
....The YOUNGEST soldier I knew was killed at only FIFTEEN. He had used his brothers birth certificate to enlist. We did not find out his age, until his parents had been notified...

With this composition, Bob, you remind us how very young some of soldiers were who served and died in this conflict. They were what we would consider just kids today. Well done! Voted and my selection for discussion today in the Art from the Past Group. v
