Jayamini De Silva

Jayamini is an Artist of Srilankan origin hailing from Southern town of Ambalangoda. She was trained and graduated with first class honours in Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy from Central academy of Fine Art, Beijing China. On her return to Srilanka, she served as a Lecturer in Fine Art at Department of Fine Art, University of Peradeniya and as a guest lecturer at Aesthetic Institute of University of Kelaniya, Srilanka. Her works are mostly done with stone colours on silk, ink on rice paper and acrylic on canvas mainly replicating ‘Agony and Ecstasy’ in life of women.
