This is the latest US Military air superiority combat aircraft. It is produced in 3 versions by Lockheed Martin. The standard version with standard landing gear will be used by the US Air Force, US Marines, and US Army. A version with much stronger landing gear and a tailhook will go to the US Navy for standard use on US aircraft carriers. The third version will have shirt vertical take off and vertical landing capabilities. This version will go to the US Marines. In this capacity it will be used for short take off and vertical landings aboard US Marine assault carriers. This is very likely the last manned air superiority fighter that will be manufactured in the United States. This fighter is built on a mile long assembly line in Texas. A bunch will be sold to allied countries around the world The aircraft was designed and constructed by Lockheed Martin a long time, highly respected, well known, combat aircraft manufacturer in the United States.

I grew up on a small farm in Pennsylvania and was inducted into the National Honor Society in high school. I was on the Dean's List a few times and earned my degrees in biology and natural science at Muhlenberg College, a small liberal arts college in Allentown PA in the mid 70s. The art history course I took in my senior year at Muhlenberg College and did extremely well in, was very educational, and I enjoyed it.
