Thanks very much, Carolyn. I didn't know this had placed in the contest. Thanks for letting me know. :)

Congratulations, Kristin, on your Third Place in the contest VW Bus What In the World Ever Became of Sweet Jane. This is a great image. Looks something like what my husband's bus would have looked like when he was traveling the U.S. in the early 70s.

Thanks, Kaye. :)

Cool shot Kristin.... I love this!

Thanks, Windy Mountain. I'm glad you liked this one. :)

Wonderful . I shared this on my FB with all my old hippie friends. Thanks 4 the memory!

Thanks, Bill, I didn't know there was such a group. I will go find it and get it uploaded. So, do tell, are you an old hippie? I am. :)

You should add this to my Hippie Art group!!

haha, Michael. No...this is not "Fillmore" of "Cars", but it does kinda look like it. I hadn't even considered that, so thanks! And, thanks for your comment - I appreciate it. :)

You're coming up with all the vehicles in "Cars" aren't you? Here's the van!

Very funny, Oiyee! lol

Wow...my dream car ^.^

Thanks, Krista, for featuring this one in the Networking our Art Group. I appreciate it.

lol, Gary. The rabbit is there on the van - right next to the caterpillar smoking hookah. I was fortunate enough to see Gracie Slick with Jefferson Airplane back in the early 70s at the Rubber Bowl in Akron, Ohio. Thanks for your comment. :)

My Pleasure Kristin

About Kristin Elmquist

Kristin Elmquist

I have been taking photographs since my Mom gave me my first camera for my 16th birthday. Sure wish we'd had digital way back then. I have no formal training but people tell me I have a good eye. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything, but prefer landscapes and nature photography. I also enjoy using the available filters in Paint Shop Pro. Even Ansel Adams fiddled with his photos by using exacto knives and chemicals. :) If you would like wording added to any of these images, or a color image in black and white, or a black and white image in color, please send me an email through this site, and I will be very happy to customize for you. Thanks for viewing my work.
