Panoramic oil painting of the famous Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. This scene depicts an evening game under way as the sun sets behind the park.

Fenway Park opened in 1912 and is the oldest park in major league baseball. It is a unique park and has lots of history and is known for its famous "green monster' in left field.

My mom, Susan Jean Birkenshaw, was born on October 15th, 1963 and passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2018. I am continuing her legacy through her art on this page. I hope you enjoy the art she made as much as she enjoyed creating it. Here is what she said before she passed away: "At a young age I was always drawing and have worked with various media. In later years I fell in love with oils as their richness enabled me to better capture the depth and light of my subjects.
