The Poinsettia - Euphorbia pulcherrima is a culturally and commercially important plant species of the diverse spurge family that is indigenous to Mexico and Central America. It is particularly well known for its red and green foliage and is widely used in Christmas floral displays. It derives its common English name from Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States Minister to Mexico, who introduced the plant into the United States in 1825.
A very warm welcome to my floral art collection.
I live in Buckinghamshire England United Kingdom.
I discovered my love for flower photography whilst studying for a diploma in horticulture in 2005., have not looked back since. I currently use a Nikon D700 and D300 with my favourite Lens the Nikkor 105 micro VR. I also use and love the Lensbaby composer with +4 & +10 macro attachments and the new Sweet 35 optic.
In 2008 I was the RHS photographer of the year, my work has also been published in magazines, national newspapers, book covers and greeting cards.
I do hope you enjoy looking at a little part of my world, do feel free to come over to my NEW Facebook page and 'Like' ...
