After graduating high school I apprenticed to become a pipefitter since my artwork could not support a family. I was employed by Dupont and worked in their fabrication shop and on the construction field crew for 17 years and at the same time I was showing my art in several galleries in the area of Kingston, Ontario. This drawing is of me and "Wild" Bill Condon doing a field weld on the pipe bridge. I enjoyed My work and the company began putting me through several management courses which led to my working with engineers in the works engineering group, but after 17 years a friend offered me the opportunity to become part of his graphics business and life took a 180' change
