I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
This exquisite noir has the great team again of cinematographer John Alton and director Anthony Mann. Mann is not given credit but was involved in the planning; directed some scenes and then was taken off the picture. "Walked" is based on a real case of a master criminal who terrorized Los Angeles.
It was only the second film Richard Basehart (1914-1984) appeared in. He had been a radio announcer and was gifted with a marvelous speaking voice. He suffered a stroke the morning after narrating the closing ceremonies of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
The film has extended sequences in the sewer tunnels of the city.

Filming in a sewer was ripped off in Carol Reed's "The Third Man" (1949), made one year later in post war Vienna with Orson Welles, Joseph Cotten and Trevor Howard.
Even though Welles is only in a few scenes in "The Third Man," his character, Harry Lime, pervades most of the film. Welles wrote his...
About David Lee Guss
I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
