When will I get my order???
A powerful crane hoists the Space Shuttle Enterprise onto the deck of the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier Museum, it's final home. The tail of the Concorde can be seen on the next pier. Shot with a Canon 5d MKII by the Hudson River, New York City, June 6th 2012
Contemporary Photographic Art and Travel Photography. I'm the Head Pixie and Pixel Pusher at Pixielated Pixels, British born and bred but New York City-based. I first picked up a camera around 60 years ago. After all these years I am finally happy, creating the images I always dreamed of. Shooting film and printing in the darkroom never gave me as much pleasure as powerful computers and Adobe's wonderful software does today. I began working with computers in the mid-1980s, and now I have become confident and competent with the tools at hand and feel that the world has finally caught up with my eclectic artistic vision. Intense and powerful colors and a somewhat surreal take on reality are the way my mind works and I enjoy producing images...

Last time I saw it, it was piggy-bag on top of a 747 at Stanstead.
Chris Lord replied:
It ended up on the deck of the Intrepid right here in NY. Thanks a bunch, Dimitris
Jacqui Kilcoyne

Robin-lee Vieira
Wow great capture, but almost sad in a way as we see the shuttle heading for retirement. Superb detail and dramatic sky...perfect!!
Chris Lord replied:
This historical moment really does signify the end of an era. Thanks so much Robin, very glad you liked it, cheers.
Lianne Schneider
such gorgeous work Chris. Fabulous detail. f.v
Chris Lord replied:
Hello Lianne, pleased you liked it - I managed to forget to wear a hat when I rushed out out to shoot that and it took them hours to get her up on deck. I got a crazy sunburn and now I am peering out of tiny squinty eyes through masses of puffy flesh! The things we do for a photograph or two! Thanks so much for making it worthwhile, cheers.
