This is an impressionistic watercolor sketch of my memory of Fall in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. It was done on watercolor pad from Florence, Italy. The texture of the paper lends itself well to the addition of ink pen to enhance the elements..

Art has been my passion for most of my life. I studied at the Art Students League in New York City, then worked in the graphic arts field. For many years I have been painting in watercolor, oil, and acrylic mediums. My style has changed from realism to include impressionistic and abstract compositions. I want to capture the shapes and colors of nature by experimenting with different surfaces. Yupo and oriental papers allow me a freedom with watercolor and acrylic paints and inks.The medium and paper always lead me on to new paths of discovery.
