Photography of the firing of the cannons at the old fort of San Marcos. The Castillo de San Marcos was constructed by the Spanish in 1672 and completed many years later. The image shows reenactors firing their cannons on the British who attacked the fort many times over it's history but were never able to take it. The image shows the exact moment of the cannons muzzle blast and was created using Hi res and Hi speed photography. The Castillo de San Marcos is the center piece of any visit to the old city of Saint Augustine Florida.
