Wade Meyers spent his early years at Fort Bragg, North Carolina before his family moved to Bossier City, La. when he was ten years old. Superb artistry. A big congrats on your sale! Lt. Bob Goebel of the 31st FG flew a B model 51 he named the Flying Dutchman. He was a double ace (11 victories). Today there's a flyable P-51D in Kansas that carries Goebel's markings, although of course it has a different serial number (44-13500) that began service life with the Royal Australian Air Force.
