This mural, part of a series of blast walls, showcases the many generations of men and women in uniform who have forged the freedoms we enjoy today as well as this generations promise to sustain these freedoms with their own sacrifice. It was captured and documented by Luis Jurado, Jr on Camp Anaconda, Balad, Iraq during his deployment to Iraq as a defense contractor.
The Graffiti of War Project showcases the art created by service members, civilians and local nationals enduring the conflicts of our generation in Iraq and Afghanistan to raise awareness for those who are suffering the invisible wounds of war, PTSD. In addition, our mission is to not only raise awareness but to provide solutions, both traditional and non-traditional therapies to those suffering these invisible wounds.
