Frank Edwards is Chairman of the Board of NYLUBE. Frank's great grandfather, Carl Gaither, founded NYLUBE in the 1930s, an international elevator parts manufacturing company. The business began in Detroit's Guardian Building, which is represented in the painting by a scale model. Frank and his wife Ann are distinguished art collectors. Frank stands next to a Mission Style chair, and behind him is a painting by Brad Durham, a contemporary American landscape painter.

Charles Pompilius is a full-time painter whose work is primarily concerned with the human figure in interior spaces. In 2011 Pompilius painted the official portrait of Michigan�s Governor Jennifer Granholm, which hangs in the capitol rotunda in Lansing, Michigan. Pompilius� work has been shown in exhibitions in cities throughout the United States including New York, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Scottsdale, and Birmingham, Michigan. He has a BFA from Central Michigan University and an MFA from the University of Iowa and has had residencies at Skowhegan, the Vermont Studio Center, Millay Colony for the Arts, and the Ragdale Foundation.
