I have been involved in creative works for years. Watercolors, oils, jewelry creation, and writing. Some years ago, after undergoing treatment for breast cancer, I abandoned my partly written novel and bought my first serious camera, a Nikon, believing life is too short not to do something that gives me pleasure. Although writing was stimulating and fun, I longed to do something that got me out of the house and into nature. Within months, I abandoned film and went to a Nikon digital camera. Thank you, Karen. If youf aunt collected pottery to any extent, she probably had some Frankhoma pottery, made here in Oklahoma and pretty famous. Made with Oklahoma clay, and the name comes from the guy who founded it (Frank) and the last half of Oklahoma. I don't believe they are in production any longer, but may be wrong.

Gorgeous image and use of textures, Betty. This pottery reminds me of my favorite aunt who lived in Fort Worth. I always loved her place settings and the weight of them in my hand. I've often wondered whatever happened to her pottery after she passed.
