Artist's Description
One can almost hear the quiet as the sunsets below the hill behind the old mill on the frozen creek at the end of a cold winter day.

My paintings reflect life in rural America, away from large cities. I work to expresses how I feel about the people I have met and the places I have traveled while publisher of an outdoor magazine. Specifically, I am inspired by the people who live and work on small family farms and the rich history of our countryside. When I paint I...

Congratulations on today's sale of this Outstanding watercolor painting! Jack, I love the warm glow of sunrise beyond the woods and your dry-brush technique on the creek ice, mill stone foundation and tree limb—gives it nice frosty windswept look. L/V&F PS: I am also a member of Randy's "Wisconsin Flowers And Scenery" Group—one of the finest and most active of all FAA Groups. It would be very happy to see your paintings promoted on WFS's Homepage.

Would love to meet you folks and see your works of art. This past winter we went on a cruise in the Caribbean. We discovered that you can go cruising for $20 a night if you offer to teach three 40 minute classes a week to cruisers on a cruise ship. I have the web address to sign up for this. Just thought, that you're both teachers,, maybe you would be interested. Jack

Jack, just to let you know, even though I have known Chet Krause for many years, I did not work there. My wife and I are both retired teachers from the Iola-Scandinavia School District, and while I took up photography, my wife has taught art for 35 years, plus many other endeavors. She is a renowned water color artist, and she has her own studio, Green Tree Studio, in our home. We have an annual Art Show and Garden Walk, every June, the Sunday after Fathers' Day, and have many artists on hand to demonstrate their talents and sell their artworks. We have many gardens, water features, and metal sculpture, amongst the many flowers, shrubs, trees, and landscaping. Would love to have you visit us!

Go to Fine Art America, and go to groups, and type in the search window, Wisconsin FLowers and Scenery, and it should take you to our group. Then click JOIN GROUP, and your artwork will be in our group. After that step, I will send you an email explaining how to get some of your pieces of art on our FEATURED ARTIST SECTION! Thanks for the email, and no I didn't work at Krause's, but my wife and I taught in the Iola-Scandinavia school system for 35 years each, and am now retired, and took up photography as a hobby, and my wife is a renowned watercolor artist, and has her own studio, Green Tree Studio, within our home. Please get back to me if you have further questions, and again thanks for the response!

Thanks for your comments on my art. See you live in Iola, did you work at Krauses? I sold my magazines to them and retired in 1992. Debbie Knauer lives in Iola, she worked for me. I'm not aware of your organization, need your web address and also would like your email address. I live on Lake Winnebago between Neenah and Oshkosh. Jack jbrauer@new.rr.com 920-233-3536
