Gambler is a Piegan dancer. His roach headdress is made of horse tail hair. He also wears a feather target on his back, which is held in place by thongs around his shoulders. Early aboriginals did not have many musical instruments. Most of them had drums, some had whistles and flutes, but they all sang and they danced.

Welcome, thanks for visiting the site! You have probably noticed that the images here are all rendered in pencil. Let me explain; even as a young boy I was fascinated by pencil drawing. I admired my dad and others who possessed some talent at it. I practiced a lot because I wanted to be a pencil artist, too. Some years later, I studied art in earnest; won a couple of scholarships, took courses at the Ontario College of Art and the Artist's Workshop in Toronto. Eventually, I became a freelance illustrator. Of course I used various mediums, but pencil work was always the foundation of everything.
