Batik uses wax and dyes to create images on fabric.
Comes framed in old barn wood.
I grew up in a family where being creative was encouraged.
As well as getting out in nature...which wasn't always possible in suburban ohio.
So these two elements have been a constant in my life;
creativity and the natural world.
I have been blessed to be able to travel and work in remote and beautiful areas of the world.
Which become the inspiration for my artwork.
I am self taught in both batik (23 years) and watercolor (8 years)
