Inspired by the Porsche 356, the factory decided to build a car designed for use in auto racing. The beauty of the 550 was that it could be driven to the track, raced and then driven home, which showed the flexibility of being both a road and track car. Perhaps the most famous of the Porsche 550's built was James Dean's "Little Bastard" which Dean fatally crashed on September 30, 1955.
Hi I'm Doug
Welcome to my online gallery. I'm a Dallas Ft Worth based photographer specializing in the creation of automotive artwork. My love for photography came at an early age with the gift of a camera for Christmas. Over the years I've shot a variety of subjects eventually finding my calling capturing the style and beauty of automobiles. My catalog runs the gamut from early American vintage to exotic super-cars with muscle-cars and imports included in the mix.
If you'd like help finding a specific piece or would like to arrange a photo session please leave me an email with your contact information and I'll be in touch.
