Girambit Naanggu (Saltwater Mother)

The yellows at the bottom of the painting represent the sand. The white dots in amongst the yellows are the eggs the turtle just laid. The blue and yellow circle at the bottom represent the inshore are. The two blue circles to the side represent the open ocean. On the turtle the spirals signify that life has a beginning and an end however the circle signifies that life continues through our offspring.
