We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
This is a painting I did some time ago and just found it in my files. This scene is taken from a photo I took of Girdwood Valley just south of Anchorage. This valley has views of 7 glaciers. Skiers come in the winter to sky on Mt. Alyeska.
About Sharon Freeman
Sharon was a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and a juried member of the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society. Her watercolors have won awards in National and local competitions. Sharon�s paintings hang in public buildings in Washington State as well as hotels in Alaska. An article featuring Sharon�s watercolor techniques was published in the Artists� Magazine, October 2000 issue. See many more of Sharon's paintings on her website. �Watercolor is a means for me to celebrate nature. Trees, flowers, and water are a few elements that capture my imagination. I look for unique patterns within small areas of nature and try to emphasize them.
