About Bea Garth
Bea Garth has been exploring her imaginative ancient/modern/surrealist narrative art since the mid 1980's. She is now planning on incorporating ceramic sculpture again with her intriguing paintings. Bea's connection with the unconscious springs in part from her need to heal herself on all levels. Much of her art is informed by the fact that as a child she was surrounded by ancient art from around the world. Her parents originally worked as archaeologists when Bea was very young. Thus colorful anthropological magazines were a constant as Bea was growing up. Further, her favorite aunt populated her house with art from the Philippines and Indochina from her days living there with her husband. Bea had an interesting yet difficult childhood due...
