I was brought up in Chester, a Roman city with its own amphitheatre, and as a consquence of being surrounded by relics of ancient history I have a fascination for Roman and Greek architecture. I love to visit and record the variations on arena and amphitheatre dotted around the Mediterranean.

Born in Chester 1960, studied BA Fine Art (Sculpture) at Loughborough College of Art and Design and an MA in Art & Design (Painting) at Leeds Metropolitan University. First worked as a mechanic for London Bicycle Company and then as a ceramic technician for David Hilton Tableware in London for seven years, before becoming a 3D Design and Sculpture lecturer in Oldham, Greater Manchester. Moved to Hampshire to become Head of Art and Design in a Southampton, Sixth Form College and now Head of Art and Design at Peter Symonds College, Winchester.
