Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Golden Spike National Historic Site. Recreation of the 1869 meeting of train engines at the Golden Spike National Historic Site (NHS), Utah, USA. Known as Promontory Summit, this is where the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads joined on 10 May 1869. The Golden Spike Ceremony was held to mark the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad in the USA. Several hundred people attended the event, including railroad workers and engineers. The two locomotives were Central Pacific No. 60 (left, the Jupiter) and Union Pacific No. 119 (right). This area was designated an NHS in 1957. For contemporary photographs, see C011/0526 and 0527.
