Fishing is one of man's favourite past time. The suspence of catching that big one is addictive. This scene is of Muskoka Falls an area north of Toronto that has become Ontario's cottage country. Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and surrounding places have some of the most palatial summer homes, yet within earshot are places like this.
Not far is the Trent Severn Waterway a series of interconnected rivers, lakes and locks where one can take considerable size boats from eastern Lake Ontario to the rock strewn shores of Georgina Bay and linger at the various marinas along the way. I tried to capture the natural granite outcrops that define much of this landscape's character along with a misty feeling that seemed to add to the over all scene.

"Paintings from the Heart"
My paintings reflect the world I live in or want to live in with no grandiose statements. With three primary colors I give you truth in the disguise of an illusion, as the pact between artist and audience is always an unspoken illusion.
Whatever our purpose on this planet or the universe itself is something I cannot fathom or attempt to understand. I therefore focus on what I can relate to and what I see that makes me happy. I hope these efforts will also help for you to enjoy the everyday things.
I accept serious commissions...
