by Anita Dale Livaditis
This is a portrait of my old dog Gracie. This is how she used to sit in front of me and keep her eye on me. She waited on my every move. I am not sure any person or animal or even member of my family has ever loved me as much as Gracie loved me. Gracie chose me, and it showed. I loved her very much. I have several versions of this drawing, and a similar acrylic painting, all based on one tiny drawing/sketch I did years ago of her. It is one of my favorite drawings. I have it under glass on my coffee table in my studio for constant inspiration and just because I loved her so dang much.
"fresh, uncomplicated, and meaningful."
