A view of the later winter snow swirling off the tops of the mountains near Grand Lake, CO in late spring 2011. Grand Lake is at the southern end of Rocky Mountain National Park.

I visited here Memorial Day weekend of 2011 in the hopes of driving through RMNP. But it snowed in Grand Lake overnight while I was there, and the road through RMNP was not yet open due to the heavy winter snows. It made for spectacular scenery however!
