About the Image

Green Axle by Jean Noren

An old tractor found on display in Carlton, Oregon. Most likely used in the vineyard based on the narrow wheelbase and the fact that it was found next to a winery. Photo by Jean Noren.

About the Artist - Jean Noren

Jean Noren

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph. I also take particular pleasure in recording the antics of my Labradors. Enjoy the photos.
